Kyodo Daily News keeps Japanese guests at our hotel up to date even while away from home. By offering the daily news, along with occasional breaking news, our hotel demonstrates our commitment to serve Japanese guests well.

Ms. Shoko Kakimoto, Manager , Japanese Guest Relations
Holiday Inn Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia

"At Princeville Resort we distribute copies of Kyodo Daily News to our Japanese guests every morning. They're really happy to get up to date news from Japan in such a remote area as Kauai, especially to learn about major happenings like the tsunami in Indonesia and the derailed train in Hyogo Prefecture."

Ms. Kyoko Ishigami , Japanese Guest Services
Princeville Resort, Kauai, Hawaii

"Kyodo Daily News lets us provide our guests with the very latest news. With events around the world changing at a dizzying pace, it's good to know we can let them know of events almost as soon as they happen rather than one day late as is the case with traditional newspapers.

Japanese women would like the service even more if it included more lifestyle articles and features."

Ms. Tomomi Nekomoto, Manager, Japanese Guest Services
Princeville Resort, Kauai, Hawaii

"The Royal Pines Resort started subscribing to Kyodo Daily News last fiscal year as part of amenities for Japanese guests.

Kyodo Daily News is distributed to Japanese guests twice a day, morning and evening editions, at a minimal subscription fee and has proved to be very appealing.

Porters directly deliver the morning and evening editions to guest rooms and many Japanese guests really enjoy reading news about their country and breaking news around the world.

We take this service seriously and consider it as a very important tool because many Japanese guests stay at the Royal Pines Resort for an extended period of time.

Some customers are asking Kyodo Daily News to carry the Nikkei Stock Average and foreign exchange rates as well."

Mr. Shuzo Yamanaka, Japanese Sales Manager
Royal Pine Resort, Queensland, Australia

Iwasaki Sangyo Co., Ltd., owner of the Rydges Capricorn Resort in Queensland, Australia, subscribes to Kyodo Daily News service not only for its guests, but for the benefit of its staff as well. Normally at least six Japanese from the company's headquarters in Kagoshima City are stationed at the hotel. They feel having a current news service in Japanese is a definite benefit to them.

"Although their number is rather small, both our short and long term guests enjoy the up-to-date Japanese language news service. The annual subscription fee, although substantial, is well justified since the service comes from Kyodo News, Japan's oldest and most reliable news service. Both our elderly and middle age guests still prefer printed news to that available on their cell phones so when we welcome them at the front desk and give them the Kyodo Daily News six-page service in A4 size paper they are surprised and pleased by this extra attention and begin reading almost immediately."
